Backup module for S3-like (Wasabi)

Hello,

Dear Colleagues,

Have any of you work or have develop for Odoo EE 16.0 a module for automatic backup that use Wasabi?

Wasabi - https://wasabi.com/

I was looking for the modules from Webkul and Cybrosis, one of them uses AWS S3, but we want to use Wasabi, that is S3 compatible. Have you use Wasabi or any other S3-like service with those modules published in Odoo’s apps?

If you have the module ready, please contact me back with the details!

Thanks in advanced,

Regards,

    Best Daniel!

Yeah really duplicity does a great job. No need for an Odoo Module.

Backup is pretty straightforward. I wouldn't use an Odoo module for it. There are much easier and more appropriate ways.

Personally I use restic in a multi destination configuration, for me it just feels the right way to do backups, but for simple stuff and even not so simple Duplicity is popular. Both of these support pre actions like taking a db dump. They also support 100's of different backends and if not using upstream lifecycle rules also support lifecycle management.
