we have some. Depending on the Version of SAP. Do they use

SAP ERP 7
S4/HANA
Unfortunately a project (to my utter experience) doesn't become really fluent / agile once you start to integrate with SAP. The reasons are manifold but what we experienced is
1.) Most SAP Integrators don't work as agile as ist would be standard in an Odoo project
2.) The security requirements of the SAP environment slows down the process
3.) Not all potentials means of integration are alsways available (because of missing Know How and more likely missing licenses or willingness to pay them)
Nonetheless we could support and i have a large network of SAP experts here in Magdeburg that develop SAP education curriculae for 3000+ universties and education entities on the globe (though they won't have much experitse with ByD but ony with the mainline SAP product and S4/HANA)

Setting up the OCA EDI-module
Hello
For a client of ours, we are looking to set-up a EDI-module to import PRICAT and DESADV files. Me and my colleagues have not the biggest experience in the EDI way of working and we wanted to test the EDI-module from OCA to see if this is the right fit for our client.
But because of the lack of experience and not a lot of documentation of the module, I can't seem to figure out on how it works. Is there someone that could help us setting this up? It's for v18.

Hello everyone,I am very happy to share that we found our new OCA Executive Director!Julie LeBrun, who has been our Content Creator & Training Manager since February, will take the Executive Director role starting on the 17th November, just after my last week.As Julie has been around, she is aware of the current projects and initiatives, so the handover should be very smooth. We are currently working on the transfer of all information. She has been very efficient and motivated in her role inside the OCA, so I am very confident that the new role will fit her well.Congratulations to Julie!On my side, it's time to say goodbye. My last official day will be on the 13th November and in the meantime I focus on sharing as much information as possible to Julie. We are currently working on important initiatives regarding our tools (migration to v18 - bidder has been selected, improved back end linked with GitHub, a new App store where it's easy to find modules - offers are under review). And very soon... the launch of our new crowdfunding platform! Stay tuned!I thank everyone in the community for their enthusiasm, kindness and passion. It's when things get difficult that we see the true heart of the people around. I saw stubbornness, for sure, but I saw mostly a lot of love and engagement towards the open source and sharing principles.I'll be around as a "simple user" with my accounting cooperative in Belgium (yes, we have customers on CE and EE, both! - and yes, another cooperative!), and my next mission is to convince my colleagues to become OCA Sponsors and pay a membership to all our team members. Hi Nazaire,
The button (and action behind) only makes sense for Customer invoices (and refunds), which is why it is not visible for Supplier Bills (because of the move_type not in ('out_invoice', 'out_refund')).
You are supposed to receive supplier bills from your supplier, adding them in Odoo is useful for margin analysis, payment follow-up, accounting, etc. but it does not make sense to send Supplier Bill with Odoo format back to Supplier (at least in normal workflow).

It is fairly complete. Not battle tested yet but it does register, send and receive.
I chose to start from 17.0 to facilitate migration of 16.0 databases using this to 17.0.It can serve as a starting point to further backport older versions.
If there are people interested in collaborating on this, the repo is ready to move to OCA. Let me know.

1. The machine for exporting Peppol-compatible files
In v16, the invoice XML generated by Odoo (I assume CE and EE) is directly compatible and can be imported directly onto a PEPPOL access platform (without interconnection but manually). Stéphane Bidoul points out that one of Acsone's customers in Luxembourg is already using it.
This is good to know, and a good plan B if we can find an access point in Belgium that allows XML invoices to be uploaded free of charge, if we don't have a fully integrated solution by 01/01/2026.
Victor Champonnois from Coop IT Easy had found such a service that offers this, I'll let him share it here as well.
2. Odoo interconnection in combination with Odoo PEPPOL point access
This is available from v17, in community and enterprise editions. As long as it is an Odoo that is connecting to the access point, the Odoo access point will accept the connection, regardless of the Odoo version from which the connection originates.
If you want to use Odoo's peppol access point on a version lower than v17, it's possible. All you have to do is reuse the code that enables the interconnection, using the same token. Of course, there's the whole part of tracking the dispatch, dispatch status, reception, etc. to integrate. The Odoo dev team told me that they had developed Peppol on v16.3 after a major refactoring of the pdf generation and invoice sending mechanics (the window that opens when you click to send an invoice). Apparently, integrating the PEPPOL part of the code in the version before v16.3 was too cumbersome, so they opted to go ahead with v17 (v16.3 no longer exists).
Another useful tip: the team in charge of dev at Odoo told me the following: “After consultation with developers, it would seem easier to use v18 code than v17 code in order to integrate Peppol in v16 for your customers.”
3. Odoo interconnection in combination with point access proposed by Jacques-Etienne
This is a functional solution proposed by Jacques-Etienne for the SENDING part. The RECEPTION part is in progress. Using the access point in question requires a fee for setting up the structure and a fee for each transaction.
My current status is thinking if it is possible to get options 2 and 3 working together (mechanism to generate/send the invoices with Jacques-Etienne solution + connexion through the Odoo access point which is free).
Fyi, I am investigating all of this with my other job's hat (as an accountant working on Odoo for CE and EE customers below v17) together with Coop IT Easy team (where I don't work anymore) to find a solution for our common customers.

Bom dia Daniel,I use package type and storage category to manage the different types of products and where they can be put. Then I use the stock_storage_type module to manage the mapping between the two. It's available on 16.0 and 18.0. You can manage the package type at product packaging or product level. The capacity allows you to define what can be put where. The put-away sequence lets you configure the computed move line destination location. Storage requirements might be to not store two "incompatible" items on the same location, or needs for special ambient conditions such as refrigeration.
I believe this matches or is close to the OSHA Chemical Storage Requirements.
I've found a couple of existing modules but they are from from meeting my needs:
- community-data-files/l10n_eu_product_adr: focus on the road transportation treaty (ADR), and I feel it is not close enough to in WH handling needs.
- stock-logistics-workflow/stock_dangerous_goods: despite the promising name, it just adds a few fields on top the the ADR module, and it still doesn't feel useful for my need.
Is there anything I am missing?
