    Hi Daniel,
Have you checked out the Quality Control modules for this? I think they include a management system add-on for handling protocols.

FWIW manually stripping <PstCd> and <AdrLine> from the XML solved this, probably forcing hybrid mode acceptance from Triodos Bank.

    4) The provision of a structured address about the payer and/or the payee for EPC payments
    must comply with following requirements:

  • Re: Address format in SEPA XML files
    Dear Victor,

I was aware of this change from unstructured addresses to structured addresses in SEPA XML files, as described in the EPC specs. To anticipate this change, I worked on it in august 2024, cf this commit on account_banking_pain_base https://github.com/akretion/banking/commit/e0ccf2d734c1aaea5e26f826c030eb57d392b04f

On v16.0, structured addresses in SEPA credit transfer XML files and SEPA direct debit XML files is implemented in my "big" PR here : https://github.com/OCA/bank-payment/pull/1174
I am fully aware of the problem with the separation of street name and number. I didn't want account_banking_pain_base to depend on base_address_extended, because it would be a very big impact for a very small need.
My implementation strategy was the following :
    - if base_address_extended is installed, it use the fields added by that module
    - if base_address_extended is not installed, I separate street number and street name "on the fly" with code. It's not always perfect, it works most of the time and, when it doesn't work, the street number is empty and the street name has the whole street field.
    Cf the code :
you can have a look at the method _improved_street_split() at line 99.

Look at the test suite to see the result with real life content :

In 18.0, it is implemented in OCA/bank-payment-alternative (which was created from my "big" PR on 16.0 #1174) :
The only change is that the module account_banking_pain_base has been renamed to account_banking_sepa_base.

Porting this on OCA/bank-payment should be pretty easy.

    Hi,

As far as I understand, this concerns the account payment modules of the OCA? For 16 (I haven't checked for 12), as far as I understand, the node TwnNm (City) is missing in the address block, which, according to the aforementioned EPC document, is mandatory in hybrid mode along with Ctry (Country). This means that version 16 still uses the unstructured format.

The code i looked at: https://github.com/OCA/bank-payment/blob/37ed97c155bdba85b79b5a8227b76b95c6294cdb/account_banking_pain_base/models/account_payment_order.py#L530

Regarding the street, i.e., the separation of name and number: in Odoo Enterprise, both (i.e., partner.street and partner.street2) are handled using AdrLine. The OCA module does this as well (except for street2) and will hopefully be processed in the same way.

    Best regards,
    Christian

  • APPLICATIONS CLOSE 31ST OCTOBER: OCA Board Member and Financial Auditors
    Hello OCA Contributors.

I have two reasons to send this email all pertaining to the OCA Annual General Assembly.

Firstly, as part of the AGA we elect 3 Financial Auditors each year. The role is to audit the OCA Annual Accounts from the previous year and takes about 4-7 hours.
You do not need to be a delegate or member to do this - perhaps someone within your company has the right skills and it might be a nice way for them to give back to the OCA, please feel free to share with them.
    • The survey to apply is here
    • The deadline for applications is tomorrow 31st October
    • The applicants are then voted on in the AGA starting next week
Secondly, I sent a reminder email to our delegates on the delegates mailing list yesterday that the Board Nominations are open till tomorrow 31st October as well. It appears as though the message might not have gotten through to some of the delegates, hence, I am sharing on our largest mailing list here as well in the hope it makes it through everyone.

Only delegates can apply to become a board member. We actually have a few of the current board members stepping down due to personal obligations, changes in their careers, more energy needed in other areas of their businesses etc, so now is a great time to get amongst and put yourself forward.
We need a dynamic board that is a good representation of the community and we need stability from some of our existing board members but also renewal with new people and different perspectives each year to achieve this. It doesn't matter what your profile is, if you have a strong willingness to support and help strengthen and grow to the OCA we would love to hear from you. If you've been thinking about giving this a go, please feel empowered to do so.
    • Board Member - this is open to all 10 of the new Delegates for this year as well

The Annual General Assembly will follow next week.

Please, any questions, do get in touch.

    Warm regards,

    Rebecca

  • Dynamic organized notification new module
Dear community, due to having validation steps concerning sales orders or stock movement.

internal users are expecting an email or a notification based on an event or a change in ORM like model status.

In some cases the notification is not sent automatically due to not following the expected workflow.

The need for a standalone module to manage notifications system based on domain or ORM activity like create, update, delete of any record in the database.

That's why I introduce this new module that is still with final touches, and I am happy to have your review and comments:

    Hello

I think you might ask the question to Odoo's forum as it looks like a general Odoo question.
But if you think it's related to an OCA module, then it's better to create an issue in the right github's repo

You might test on runbot.odoo.com for standard odoo or on runboat that you can find in any OCA'a repo.

    Hello Andrea,

Thank you for your message and for your interest in the OCA’s Quality Management System module.

At the moment, the Quality Management System (QMS) modules have not yet been migrated to Odoo 19.0. Migrations are carried out progressively by community contributors, depending on available time, priorities, and sponsorship.

You can follow the migration status or contribute directly on the OCA GitHub repositories — typically under https://github.com/OCA/management-system. If your organization needs this migration soon, one option is to sponsor or financially support the maintainers to prioritize and accelerate the work.

Your support helps sustain the open-source ecosystem and ensures timely updates for everyone in the community.

    Best regards,

    Hi team,

I hope you’re doing well. I wanted to kindly follow up regarding my pull request that has already been approved in the Localization Colombia repository but has not yet been merged.

    https://github.com/OCA/l10n-colombia/pull/22

  • Re: base_custom_info
    Indeed.
It probably won't be that hard to add Properties to a model.
The hardest part fro me is to read and consume that data in your custom code.
Also not documented and requiring trial & error + reverse engineering t figure out...

    Regards
    Daniel

    Hi,

This of course begs the question how a model can be made to support Properties.

I did find out by scanning the Odoo Source tree, starting of with grepping for 'Add Properties'. Anyway it is needed to add a field.Properties field to hold the properties. To define the possible properties, you will need a PropertiesDefinition field. Look-up the source in odoo/fields.py and see example use in addons/project/models/project.task.py.

Looking at the orm API documentation, this feature is indeed totally undocumented:

    https://www.odoo.com/documentation/18.0/developer/reference/backend/orm.html#fields

    Hi,

You can find the option to create properties in the action menu of a record. For example: Open a project task and then click on the gear icon. There you will find the option “Add Properties.”

Not every model supports properties, though.

But how to use it then @bruno. Nowhere in the Odoo (CE) interface can I find anything to configure this, let alone how to add these property fields programmatically.

This is the documentation I see:

    https://www.odoo.com/documentation/18.0/applications/essentials/property_fields.html

It is all configured via Studio.

In that case base_custom_info would still be very useful. Actually it seems to exactly satisfy a requirement that one of my customers has.

    Hi community,

We've been using the base_custom_info module and some of its add-ons for partners and products for several versions.

Organizations like Antiun, Tecnativa, and Moduon seem to have been using it since v8 and more.

We find the features it offers interesting (that's why we use it).

    I am wondering why not available in v16 (a) and 18 :
1 - due to a lack of time and interest in migrating it, OR
2 - you have other options for adding simple information about partners and products

    (a) closed PR for 16

    Have a nice day !
