Re: Creation of the 14.0 branches
Hi Daniel,The test and vendor directories you mention are related to the templating mechanism. They are not part of the actual target repos. The result of applying the template with the "copier" tool is currently very close to what we have on the 13.0 branches, so there should not be any significant difference in practice.-sbiOn Wed, Sep 23, 2020 at 10:17 AM Daniel Reis <dreis@opensourceintegrators.com> wrote:Hello, thank you for the initiative, I agree that this repository template is a good thing.
I'm sorry I'm was not familiar with this initiative.
I can see there are significant changes to the current repository template, but I miss an explanation or discussion on these.
For example, other than Stephan's question on the new mechanism for the top level README, I see new "test" and "vendor" top level directories, and I'm not sure about their role and the design decisions behind them.
Thank you

Hi folks,
For the creation of the 14.0 branches in OCA repos, the plan is to use the new addons repository template that was created during the Spanish OCA days back in May: https://github.com/OCA/oca-addons-repo-template
There a few questions to answer beforehand, so if you are interested in that topic, head to https://github.com/OCA/oca-addons-repo-template/issues/7 to follow and comment there.
Best regards,
