Actually, this is a multi-tenant stack with v10, v12 using test and production environments. Right now is holding 10+ databases and around 80 users (and growing), it should hold over 100 users and 40/80 databases (but it's' a naive statement as this will impact the performance).

The tech stack consist of GKE (with Istio, instead of Nginx), Filestore (I'd prefer Buckets though), CloudSQL, Cloud Build (for CI/CD) and Memorystore (for sessions).

We are looking to start with only a simple k8s migration, with nginx, psql, odoo (12) to begin with.

As an example, we've been using Google Cloud for the last 8 months with Kubernetes (GKE). The hardest part is the designing everything and adapting each piece of Odoo to work in a multi-tenant and distributed system (I've been working on this Docker environment to accomplish thi ; but after everything is in place, your imagination is the limit. It comes at a cost, as it's not cheap. The cheapest setup that I've done is around US$600 and the most expensive around USD$3,000. But there's a bunch of variables (HA, Performance, GitOps, Diversity of environments [9,10,11,12 / dev, prod, staging].

Here at Numigi, all of our infrastructure is under DigitalOcean. While pricewise we are very happy with them, technologically we start to see some stoppers (mainly the FileSystem of DigitalOcean that prevent scaling).

A while ago, we tried AWS, but the price at the end of the month was WAY too high.

Would you have experience with Azure or Google Cloud to host your favorite ERP ?

I wonder how expensive it is to be in these clouds. I would target Azure, as it is getting better and better compared to Google cloud.
